We Unlock Any Car.
Locked ECUs (BMW MG1/MD1, MED17, EDC17, Bosch EDC, Continental SIM2K, etc.) require a bench unlock before any tune can be flashed. We handle the full bench unlock + virtual read process so we can write a custom map back. Our unlocks stay unlocked — they can't be re-locked when your car is serviced at the dealer.

Read this in full before booking any service. By scheduling work with WeTuneAnyCar, you acknowledge and agree to every term below.
Nature of Service
WeTuneAnyCar (referred to as "we," "us," or "the Shop") provides aftermarket Engine Control Unit (ECU) and Transmission Control Unit (TCU) calibration services, including but not limited to Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3/Custom tunes; transmission tunes; ECU bench unlocks; and the sale of related hardware. Modifying a vehicle's factory calibration is an inherently risky procedure that may result in mechanical damage, electronic damage, voided manufacturer warranty, failure of emissions inspections, and/or non-compliance with state, federal, or local law. By engaging our services, the Customer (referred to as "you" or "the Customer") affirms that you have read, understand, and accept these risks.
Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that ECU and TCU tuning carries the inherent risk of, including but not limited to: permanent damage to the ECU or TCU ("bricking"), engine damage, transmission damage, turbocharger or supercharger failure, fuel system damage, sensor failure, drivability issues, illuminated check-engine lights, increased component wear, and reduced longevity of mechanical components. You voluntarily and knowingly assume all such risks.
No Warranty — Service Provided "As Is"
All tuning, unlocking, and related services are provided "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS." WeTuneAnyCar makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee any specific power output, fuel economy, drivability characteristic, or compatibility outcome. Estimates provided through the Power Calculator, in writing, or verbally are non-binding projections only.
Bricked ECUs — No Liability
WeTuneAnyCar is not liable for any ECU, TCU, or other electronic control module that becomes inoperable ("bricked"), corrupted, or otherwise non-functional during or after our services. This includes, without limitation, failure of read/write operations, communication errors during flashing, voltage drops or interruptions, hardware faults, pre-existing latent defects, third-party tools or files that fail mid-process, and any consequential damages arising therefrom. Replacement, repair, or reprogramming of a damaged ECU/TCU — including parts, labor, towing, rental cars, or any other associated costs — is the sole responsibility of the Customer.
Mechanical Damage — No Liability
WeTuneAnyCar is not liable for any mechanical damage that occurs after the vehicle leaves our shop, regardless of whether such damage may be linked to the tune. This includes engine, transmission, drivetrain, exhaust, intake, turbocharger, supercharger, fuel injector, fuel pump, sensor, wiring, or any other component damage. The Customer acknowledges that supporting hardware, fuel quality, driving conditions, maintenance status, and pre-existing wear all influence reliability outcomes that are entirely outside our control.
Manufacturer Warranty
Modifying your vehicle's calibration will likely void some or all of your manufacturer's warranty. The dealer may detect modifications via diagnostic tools even after returning to a stock map. You acknowledge that warranty denials, refusal of dealer service, or related disputes between you and the manufacturer are not the responsibility of WeTuneAnyCar.
Emissions and Regulatory Compliance
Some calibrations and customizations — including but not limited to catalytic delete, DPF delete, EGR delete, DEF/SCR delete, and certain "off-road only" tunes — are not legal for use on public roads in many jurisdictions, including the State of Georgia. Use of such modifications on public roads may violate the Federal Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. § 7522) and Georgia state emissions inspection requirements. By requesting these services, you represent that the vehicle is for off-road, competition, or closed-course use only, and you indemnify WeTuneAnyCar against any fines, citations, inspection failures, or other regulatory consequences. WeTuneAnyCar does not aid, encourage, or recommend the use of emissions-deleted vehicles on public roads.
Vehicle Condition Prior to Service
You represent that your vehicle is in sound mechanical and electrical condition before delivering it to us. WeTuneAnyCar is not responsible for diagnosing or correcting pre-existing issues, including but not limited to: weak fuel pumps, failing ignition coils, marginal turbochargers, worn engine internals, corroded wiring, weak batteries, or out-of-date software. We may decline service at our discretion if we observe conditions that make tuning unsafe.
Limitation of Damages
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeTuneAnyCar's total aggregate liability to the Customer for any claim arising out of or related to the services — whether in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise — shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim. WeTuneAnyCar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of vehicle value, loss of income, towing, storage, or rental costs.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WeTuneAnyCar, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, fines, penalties, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use, operation, sale, or transfer of the modified vehicle.
Stock File Storage
When technically feasible, we will read and store a copy of your vehicle's original ECU/TCU file before modification, and we will retain that file for a reasonable period. However, we do not guarantee that the stock file can always be successfully read, retained, or restored. The Customer is solely responsible for retaining their own backup of any data they consider important. WeTuneAnyCar is not liable for lost, corrupted, or unrecoverable stock files.
Payment, Refunds, and Cancellations
Tuning labor is non-refundable once the calibration process has begun. Hardware sales (including the OBD Flash Tool) are non-refundable once removed from the original packaging. Cancellations made before work begins may be refunded at our discretion, less any incurred expenses. Returned-check or chargeback fees are the responsibility of the Customer.
Governing Law and Venue
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising out of or related to this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and the Customer consents to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Severability
If any provision of this waiver is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Acknowledgment
By scheduling, paying for, or otherwise initiating any service from WeTuneAnyCar — and by checking the acknowledgment box on the inquiry form — you confirm that you have read this waiver in full, that you understand its terms, that you accept all risks described herein, and that you are at least 18 years of age and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
